My regional manager role was abroad, but the company shut down and no longer appears online. What now?

A closed company and a role that has disappeared from the web do not, on their own, invalidate an EB-1 petition. What the process requires is a demonstration of your work and your achievements, and that can be supported by multiple sources, not just the former employer’s website.

The strategy is to rebuild the evidence from what still exists. The more consistent and cross-referenced the documentation, the stronger the narrative that the role existed and that you performed it at a meaningful level.

• Contracts, pay stubs, and letters confirming your employment relationship and title.
• Statements from former supervisors and colleagues about the role you played.
• Public records, news coverage, or digital archives of the company and your projects.
