In the EB-1, what typically defines a position as managerial is not simply the number of people under your supervision, but the nature of your responsibilities and the authority you exercised. Having supervised 30 people points to relevant management experience, yet the title and team size alone do not determine the analysis.
What tends to be evaluated is whether your duties included meaningful decisions over work and people:
- Strategic decision-making for the group or department.
- Authority over hiring, promotion, and termination, or significant influence on those decisions.
- Accountability for goals, results, and resources.
If you performed that type of function, it is more likely that the position will be read as managerial under U.S. immigration review standards. To support that, it helps to gather job descriptions, organizational charts, and letters attesting to your responsibilities.
Since each case is evaluated individually, it is worth checking updated requirements with the USCIS or reviewing your background with a specialist.
