Can I be denied for not having enough networking?

The O-1 does not directly evaluate the size of your professional network. What the analysis looks for is proof that you have recognition and distinction in your field, and that is demonstrated through achievements, not through networking itself.

Having a strong network can help indirectly, for example by making it easier to obtain recommendation letters or collaborations that reinforce your track record. But the weight rests on the body of evidence that attests to your career accomplishments, and networking is just one of several elements considered.

In practice, even with a small network, you can have a strong petition if you can clearly document awards, publications, performances, or contributions that place you in a position of reference in your field. The reverse is also true: a wide network does not make up for a lack of solid documentation of your excellence.

Because every case has its own particularities, it is worth putting care into organizing your portfolio and, if in doubt, seeking specialized guidance and reviewing official USCIS resources. Be cautious of anyone who promises guaranteed results.
