Global Entry is a program created by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) aimed at facilitating the entry process for low-risk travelers arriving in the United States. Upon applying and being approved, participants can use automated kiosks at airports, speeding up immigration control and reducing wait times in lines.

Global Entry and ESTA are distinct programs: ESTA is part of the Visa Waiver Program and is mandatory for citizens of participating countries traveling for tourism or business, whereas Global Entry is designed for frequent travelers who want to optimize reentry into the country. Having an approved ESTA does not guarantee access to Global Entry, which has its own eligibility criteria.

It is essential to follow official guidelines and seek information from reliable sources to avoid risks and ensure a smooth and legal travel experience.
