My band already won a Gold Record. Can we apply for EB-1A together?

The EB-1A is always an individual petition, so it is not possible to file a joint application for the entire band, even if the group has earned a Gold Record. Each member must petition on their own behalf and build their own case.

In practice, this means each musician must demonstrate that their contribution was decisive to the collective achievements and that they hold individually recognizable excellence. The group’s award is a strong point, but it enters as part of a larger body of evidence, not as an automatic pass for all members.

• The individual role each member played in the band’s achievements is what counts.
