Is there a risk of denial if I lack evidence of a ‘leading role’?

Missing evidence of a ‘leading role’ (a position of leadership or distinction) can indeed raise the risk of an unfavorable decision in the EB-1, since this is one of the dimensions that adjudicators weigh. However, that alone does not mean automatic denial.

The EB-1 is evaluated on the totality of the evidence, not on any single element. If you do not have direct proof of a leadership role, other elements can strengthen your case and help build the overall picture of distinction required.

• Citations of your work by other professionals in the field.
• Awards and honors recognized in your area.
• Letters from experts attesting to your influence and contributions.
