Who lives in Stillwater
The population is predominantly non-Hispanic white, with a significant presence of international students, Latinos, and a small Asian community tied to the university.
The official population is around 48,000 residents, but the actual number fluctuates considerably with the academic calendar. During the school year, Stillwater fills up; in summer months and during breaks, it noticeably empties out.
Most residents identify as non-Hispanic white. There is a growing Hispanic community, primarily Mexican, and an international student population from India, China, South Korea, Nigeria, and Latin American countries drawn by OSU's engineering and agriculture programs.
The Brazilian presence is small, concentrated among graduate students and their families. Religious life is strongly Protestant Christian, with Baptist and Methodist churches dominating the landscape, alongside a Catholic chapel near campus.
