Is there a maximum age for the O-1?

There is no maximum age to apply for the O-1. A candidate’s age, on its own, is not a criterion that determines visa approval.

What truly matters is demonstrating significant achievements and recognition in the field where the person works. A young professional who has already accumulated awards and notable experiences, and someone with a long record of success, can both qualify.

In other words, the focus of the review is on the relevance and excellence demonstrated throughout a career, not on age or years of activity.

Regardless of age, the process must follow current immigration rules. It is therefore advisable to confirm updated requirements with USCIS or a qualified specialist before filing a petition.
