When does an L-1 Blanket expire?

The document confirming that approval is valid for a set period from the date of issuance, and it is within that window that designated employees apply for their individual visas.

The maximum period of stay for each individual, however, does not come from the blanket itself; it comes from the visa category obtained:

• L-1A (executives and managers): carries its own maximum stay limit specific to the category.
• L-1B (specialized knowledge): carries a maximum stay limit shorter than that of the L-1A.

Because these periods are set by regulation and may change, avoid relying on any single figure: confirm the current validity and stay periods with USCIS or an immigration specialist before planning renewals and transfers.
