When you start an immigration process to the United States, such as the K-1 visa for fiancés, you go through several stages and receive official communications from USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services). Among these communications, you may receive messages designated as NOA1 and NOA2, which are basically notices (Notices of Action) informing you about the progress of your case.

The NOA1 is generally the receipt that confirms USCIS has received the petition (in the case of the K-1, the I-129F petition) or any other request submitted. This document is important because it establishes that your application is in the system and that the process has begun. It contains a case number that you will use to follow the next steps with USCIS.

The NOA2 is usually the notice of approval of the petition or of a subsequent stage of the process. This indicates that an important part of your case-such as the petition approval-has been successfully completed. In other words, the NOA2 serves to confirm that USCIS has ruled favorably on a specific stage.

It is essential to remember that the immigration process in the United States follows strict rules and the accuracy of the information provided to the government is indispensable. Therefore, whenever you receive any document or communication, carefully verify the information contained therein and follow the official guidelines.

If doubts arise, seek guidance from reliable sources and avoid resorting to promotional offers or marketing campaigns that promise miraculous results. It is advisable to track your case through USCIS official channels and, if needed, consider consulting specialized professionals who can assist you in interpreting each stage. This way, you minimize risks and ensure you are strictly complying with United States immigration laws.
