Financial self-sufficiency is not the focus of the EB-2 NIW. This pathway evaluates the merit and national importance of your work, meaning the impact of your qualifications and contributions, not your ability to fund yourself independently.

That does not mean financial information is irrelevant. It can be included in a complementary role, helping demonstrate that you can establish yourself and continue contributing without depending on a specific sponsor. It is supporting context, not the central argument.

• Prioritize evidence of merit, impact, and relevance of your work.
• Use elements of financial stability only as reinforcement of the overall case.
• Keep documentation organized and consistent with the rest of your petition.
