Should I list every conference I attended?

In EB-2 NIW petitions, listing every conference is not the goal: what strengthens the case is showing relevant, well-documented participation, not sheer volume of events. A curated list signals judgment and authority in your field.

Prioritize conferences where you played an active role and that connect directly to your line of work:

• Events where you presented papers, sat on panels, or were invited as a speaker.
• Recognized gatherings in your field that help contextualize the relevance of your contributions.
• Participations you can document with certificates, official programs, proceedings, or publications.

Conferences you merely attended, without any active contribution, tend to add little value and may dilute the strongest points of your petition. The focus should be on linking each piece of evidence to your contribution and the merit of your work.

Because evaluation is done on a case-by-case basis, it is worth checking the latest guidelines on the official source (USCIS) and, when possible, assembling your selection with the support of a specialist.
