I plan to live in a rural area. Does that affect the review?

In the EB-2 NIW, planning to live in a rural area does not hurt the review. The evaluation looks at the merit of your profile and the impact of your work on the national interest, not at your address.

What reviewers tend to weigh is the substance of your case:

• Academic and professional qualifications, publications, and awards.
• The relevance of the project and its practical applicability.
• The economic, social, or technological benefits it can generate.
