I participated in bids and won 3. Do they count as awards?

Winning bids demonstrates competence and the ability to compete, but that does not automatically translate into an award in the sense that EB-1 recognizes. In this category, awards typically mean honors, distinctions, or recognitions granted by relevant entities in your field, viewed as a signal of standing out among peers.

That does not mean the experience is irrelevant. A significant win can enter the process as supporting evidence, especially when it helps build a picture of leadership, impact, and professional recognition. The weight of each element is analyzed as a whole, not in isolation.

• Bids won: can support the narrative of competence and results.
