A brief TV appearance can be part of the media coverage evidence package for EB-1, but it rarely sustains the criterion on its own. What reviewers look for is coverage that demonstrates broad, independent recognition of your work, with enough depth to show the impact of your achievements.

A short mention that does not explain what you accomplished or why it matters in your field tends to carry limited weight. A feature article that details your contributions, published by an independent and credible outlet, is far more persuasive.

• Prioritize pieces that explore your merit in depth, not just mention your name.
• Gather the source, date, and reach of each outlet.
• Combine the coverage with other evidence of recognition.

If your media exposure was brief, it is worth pairing it with stronger evidence and checking the current criteria on the USCIS website or with a specialist before assembling your petition.
