I co-authored several articles. How do I highlight my specific role?

For the EB-1, co-authoring multiple articles is helpful, but what truly sets your profile apart is making clear what your specific contribution was in each work. Co-authorship alone says little; the weight comes from showing, with evidence, the role you actually played.

Describe objectively where your involvement was decisive (for example, in the study’s conception, methodology, data analysis, or the drafting of key sections). Then support that description with proof that someone else can verify:

• Manuscripts, drafts, and records showing your participation.
• Letters from co-authors or experts describing your role.
• Mentions, citations, and acknowledgments linked to the work.

Organizing this information clearly, with summaries that make it easy for the reviewer to read, makes a real difference. The goal is for the evaluator to quickly understand the scope and relevance of your involvement.

Since each case is analyzed individually, it is worth verifying the updated requirements with USCIS or a specialist before assembling your petition.
