How many publications are “enough” for EB-1B?

There is no fixed minimum number of publications required for EB-1B. Rather than hitting a count target, the review looks at the full picture of your academic record and the actual weight of your contributions.

The EB-1B is the pathway for researchers and professors with international recognition, and what tends to matter most is the quality and impact of the work: articles in leading venues, citations by other researchers, and involvement in relevant research can count for more than a high volume of rarely-cited publications.

Beyond that, publications are just one of several forms of evidence. Awards, participation in dissertation committees and peer review panels, reviewing others’ work, and invitations to speak at conferences all help build the portrait of distinction the category requires.
