In the EB-1A, three awards from the same association are not automatically tallied as three independent achievements. The evaluation focuses much more on the quality and relevance of the recognition than on the award count.
When multiple awards come from the same organization, there is a risk they will be read as a single type of institutional recognition. Honors from diverse, prestigious sources tend to more convincingly demonstrate that your distinction is broad and acknowledged by different entities.
That said, awards from the same association can still contribute in their own way when they were granted at different times, for specific accomplishments, and under different criteria. What makes the difference is the narrative:
- Explain the context, criteria, and selectivity of each award.
- Show the impact each achievement had on your career trajectory.
- Combine these honors with other evidence of distinction.
Each case is reviewed individually, so it is worth checking the current criteria with USCIS and aligning your strategy with a specialist before filing your petition.
