Is the O-1 visa revalidated every time I leave and re-enter the US?

No. As long as the O-1 visa stamp in your passport is valid and allows multiple entries, you do not need to revalidate it each time you leave and return to the United States. The consular stamp already authorizes you to use that visa to enter more than once within the granted period.

What happens at each arrival is different from revalidation: the immigration officer at the border checks whether the visa is still valid and decides on your admission and length of stay based on your situation at that moment. Entry is never automatic, even with a current visa.

For that reason, keep track of two separate dates: the visa expiration date in your passport and the expiration of your status inside the country. If the visa expires, you will need to obtain a new one to re-enter, regardless of how many times you have crossed the border before.
