Not in the sense of a simple renewal, as happens with other documents. The EB-5 conditional green card is not merely extended: at the end of the conditional period, what you do is remove the conditions from your status.

That removal is done through the I-829 (Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence). If the petition is approved, the conditional status is lifted and you become a permanent resident without conditions. It is a status conversion, not a card renewal.

The right timing to file the I-829 is defined by a specific window tied to the expiration of the conditional green card. Meeting that deadline is essential: missing it can put your status at risk.

Because dates and requirements can change, confirm the current deadlines with USCIS and prepare your documentation in advance, working with a specialist if needed.
