I have a ‘regional director’ title at a company with 2,000 employees. Is the EB-1C easier?

A regional director role may fit the EB-1C, but there is no 'easier' path; what matters is the managerial substance of the role and the corporate tie between entities, assessed case by case.

There is no easier version of the EB-1C. A regional director role at a large company may well fit the category, but that does not make the process automatic: every case goes through a thorough review.

The EB-1C is for executives and managers transferred by a multinational, and what supports the petition is the substance of your role, not the size of the company. A few factors typically matter more than the title itself:

  • Whether the role genuinely involves management, team supervision, or strategic decision-making.
  • The corporate relationship between the overseas entity and the U.S. entity.
  • Prior leadership experience within that same organization.

The EB-1C does not require awards or publications, as academic pathways do, but that does not mean the bar is low: USCIS officers review the documentation carefully. Since each case is evaluated individually, it is worth checking the current requirements on the official source (USCIS) and reviewing your profile with a specialist before filing.
