Do craft awards at regional fairs qualify for EB-1A?

Not necessarily. EB-1A is the pathway for those who demonstrate extraordinary ability in their field, proven by broad and sustained recognition over time, not by a single award. A trophy won at a regional fair, on its own, rarely reaches that threshold.

That does not mean the award is worthless. It can be part of the overall body of evidence as supporting proof, especially when combined with other indicators of distinction: coverage in specialized press, service as a judge or evaluator, recognition by influential peers, and a verifiable impact of your work on the field.

What matters in the EB-1A analysis is the overall picture: how much your work stands out in the field and how broad that recognition is. Local awards tend to have limited reach, so they typically need context and additional evidence showing influence beyond the regional level.
